Privacy Policy

Effective Date: _____________

Your safety comes first. We designed this platform with domestic violence survivors in mind. Your privacy and physical safety are our highest priorities. This policy explains exactly how your information is handled and protected.

1. Who We Are

Injunction Junction is a technology platform operated on behalf of the Schill Law Firm ("the Firm," "we," "us," "our"). When you use this platform, your legal services are provided by the Firm. The platform is the Firm's technology for processing intake information and preparing case materials.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use the platform:

  • Your contact information: Name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and home address.
  • Case information: Details about your situation, including information about the person you need protection from, incident descriptions, and whether children are involved.
  • Uploaded evidence: Photos, text message screenshots, police reports, medical records, and other files you upload.
  • Usage information: IP address, browser type, and access times — used only for security purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Prepare your case materials for attorney review (including AI-assisted analysis).
  • Communicate with you about your case status by email.
  • Provide your attorney with the information needed to represent you.
  • Protect the security and integrity of the platform.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone other than your attorney.

4. AI Processing

Your information and uploaded evidence are processed by AI technology to prepare case materials for your attorney. This AI processing:

  • Uses secure, encrypted connections to AI systems.
  • Under current AI provider policies, does not use your data to train AI models.
  • Produces draft materials that are reviewed by your attorney before any use.

We cannot guarantee the data handling practices of third-party AI providers. We do not voluntarily opt in to any provider training programs.

5. How We Protect Your Information

Given the sensitive nature of domestic violence cases, we take extra precautions:

  • Encryption: Your data is encrypted when stored and when transmitted between your device and our servers.
  • Safe emails: All emails from us use generic subject lines like "Injunction Junction — Action Required." Nothing in our emails reveals the nature of your case.
  • Quick exit: Every page has a button to immediately leave the site and clear your browser history of this page.
  • No tracking: We use a single essential cookie to keep you logged in. No tracking cookies, no analytics, no advertising.
  • Randomized file storage: Your uploaded files are stored with randomized names — the original filenames are not used in storage.
  • No public links: Your evidence files are never accessible via public URLs. Access requires authentication and is restricted to you and your attorney.
  • Account privacy: If someone enters your email on the login page, the system never reveals whether an account exists — it always says "If an account exists, we sent a link."

6. Who Can See Your Information

Your information is accessible only to:

  • Your attorney at the Schill Law Firm — who reviews your case and provides legal representation.
  • Platform administrators — for technical support and system maintenance only.

We will not share your information with anyone else unless required by law or court order.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain your case information for the duration of your case plus a period consistent with Florida legal requirements. After that, your data is securely deleted.

You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us. We will process your request as quickly as possible, subject to any legal retention obligations.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • See your information: Request a copy of the personal information we have about you.
  • Correct your information: Ask us to fix anything that's wrong.
  • Delete your information: Ask us to remove your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Get your files: Request your uploaded evidence and case files in a standard format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11 below.

9. Children's Information

We collect information about children only as part of your case (for example, if your restraining order involves your children). This information is treated with the same security protections as all other case data and is shared only with your attorney.

The platform is intended for adults (18 and older). If you are under 18 and need help, please call the Florida Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-500-1119.

10. Data Breach Notification

If there is ever a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with Florida law (Statute §501.171). We will tell you what happened, what information was affected, and what steps we are taking.
